Frequently asked questions

Getting started

Who is LocaPrice best for?

LocaPrice is built for Shopify merchants who need different prices by location across checkout and POS.

Do I need to be technical to use LocaPrice?

No. Most stores can manage prices through the in-app workflows. API access is optional for advanced teams.

How long does setup take?

Most merchants can install and publish their first location-based prices within a few minutes.

Can I use LocaPrice without Shopify Plus?

Yes for admin workflows. Stores without Shopify Plus can still configure prices, sync locations, preview workflows, and validate operations. Runtime publishing for checkout/POS stays blocked unless the shop is Shopify Plus or a partner development store.

Pricing and billing

Where do I see the exact plan price?

Plan pricing is listed on the billing page and confirmed through Shopify billing during approval.

Is there a free plan?

No permanent free plan is offered. Each shop can receive one 14-day trial on first eligible subscription.

Is there an annual billing option?

Yes. All plans offer annual billing at a 20% discount. You can choose your billing interval when subscribing.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. You can move to higher plans as your variant count, location count, and feature needs grow.

What happens if my subscription lapses?

You get a 7-day grace period. During that window your existing data remains accessible, but pricing changes are read-only until you upgrade or restore billing. After 7 days all gated operations are blocked. Your data is never deleted.

What happens if I downgrade?

Your data is preserved. Features and data above the new plan limits become read-only. If you upgrade again later everything reactivates immediately.

Is API access included?

API access is available on Enterprise and uses scoped tokens created from the app admin.

API and integrations

How is API authentication handled?

Use a token created in the app's API access section, then pass it as a Bearer token in Authorization headers.

Can I import a lot of prices at once?

Yes. Use CSV import in Manage prices for merchant workflows or the bulk API endpoint for integrations.

What if an API call fails?

Each API response includes structured error codes and messages, so your integration can retry or recover safely.
